Ítem Acceso Abierto Factores conformantes del riesgo percibido en los trabajadores de la construcción(Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 2015-07-01) Rodríguez-Garzón, Ignacion; Martínez-Fiestas, Myriam; Delgado-Padial, Antonio; Lucas-Ruiz, ValerianoThis article is an exploratory study of perceived risk in the construction sector. We used a sample of 514 workers in Spain, Peru and Nicaragua. The method used was the psychometric paradigm and, under its assumptions we have studied nine factors or qualitative attributes of risk. The main statistical analysis was carried out using a classification tree. As a result is obtained that four of the nine attributes studied predict significantly the perceived risk of the sample. The attribute on the delay of the consequences has been the most important predictor in the model, followed by the attribute that explores the potential catastrophic risk and the attribute that explores the serious consequences. Finally the attribute related to the personal vulnerability has emerged. The implications of the results are exposed.Ítem Acceso Abierto El riesgo percibido por el trabajador de la construcción: ¿qué rol juega el oficio?(Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Escuela de Construcción Civil, 2013) Rodríguez Garzón, Ignacio; Martínez-Fiestas, Myriam; López Alonso, MonicaThis article presents a study of the perceived risk in the construction sector. The study was conducted from the analysis of questionnaires from several samples of construction workers from southern Spain. We report the perceived risk profile obtained from the psychometric paradigm through qualitative attributes and then we analyze the results. Stands out the attribute regarding how work affects our own long-term health. This represents something new with respect to previous studies. Also analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) the effects of socio-demographic variable craft with respect to the different attributes of the perceived risk of the questionnaire. It presents the differences obtained between the group of masons and framers.Ítem Acceso Abierto Why people participate in collaborative consumption: an exploratory study of motivating factors in a Latin American economy(MDPI, 2020-03-03) Alzamora-Ruiz, Jessica; Guerrero-Medina, Carlos; Martínez-Fiestas, Myriam; Serida-Nishimura, JaimeIn recent decades, collaborative initiatives have become relevant in Latin America, however, the owners of these businesses still face great challenges to mobilize consumers interest. In the research field, many collaborative consumption (CC) researchers have focused on the identification of their predictors; but studies that have explored this phenomenon via motivations perspective are very limited, especially those that focus on the Latin American context. Furthermore, these studies have analyzed on particular consumption activities and consumers with previous experience, restricting the scope of its results. To close this gap, the research has as its purpose the exploration of the motivating factors that best predict the intention to participate in CC activities into one of the three countries with the greatest number of collaborative businesses in the region. The ANOVA and CHAID are applied to a sample of 2080 people. The results reveal that, although enjoyment, sustainability, reputation and economic benefits are significant factors for CC, not all are equally effective in promoting high levels of participation in Latin American context. These findings allow to achieve a better understanding of the collaborative phenomenon, and also they contribute to the development of value proposals and more focused recruitment strategies for potential consumers in the region.
