Based on the results of the aforementioned analysis, it will be possible to determine that Peruvian companies, in addition to generating economic profitability, need to incorporate social and environmental components into their management, through absolutely measurable, verifiable and sustainable actions that contribute to present and future generations of the country can enjoy a dignified life.El objetivo de este artículo es determinar si el cumplimiento del concepto de desarrollo sostenible, por parte de las empresas del Perú, es voluntario u obligatorio, a partir de la revisión detallada de bibliografía relacionada a responsabilidad social corporativa, memorias o reportes de sostenibilidad, empresas con certificación B y sociedad BIC; así como del análisis de diversas sentencias del Tribunal Constitucional acerca de algunos de estos conceptos y de nuestro régimen de economía social de mercado.
