Ítem Solo Metadatos Un acercamiento al concepto de cultura(Universidad ESAN. ESAN Ediciones, 2006-12-30) Podestá C., PaolaThe following article, derived from a research conducted in an organization that belongs to the airline industry, intends to approach the concept of Culture from two theoretical viewpoints, and propose a possibility of analysis from the relation between relevant concepts of such perspectives. These afore-mentioned relations are also proposed as a reference to study cultural change in organizations. The central question impacts the concept of organizational culture and enhances a reflection: Is cultural transformation possible in an organization?Ítem Solo Metadatos La cultura negociadora en el Perú: un estudio exploratorio(Universidad ESAN. ESAN Ediciones, 2008-12-30) Ogliastri, Enrique; Salcedo, GimmyThis is a qualitative study about how to conduct business in Peru. It is based on 47 semi-structured questionnaires on pointed negotiation experiences in which a Peruvian side was involved. The information was classified into 23 items about the customs, tactics, concepts, expectations, beliefs and values that occur in conflict and negotiation processes in Peru. Here was found a culture very similar to that widespread in Latin America: the dominance of haggling as a negotiating process, based on an unreasonable request at the beginning that is to be adjusted slowly. Cordial relations are preferred in an informal atmosphere; it is customary to not do much preparation for the negotiation and recourse to cunning and power more often than to objective technical criteria. In this culture emotions are expressed, and uncertainties have generated a great deal of flexibility in negotiations. The results must be validated by further analysis. This study is part of an extensive research on intercultural negotiation.Ítem Solo Metadatos Sierralta Ríos, Aníbal. El comercio internacional y su impacto en la cultura y el derecho(Universidad ESAN, 2020-06-27) Almeida Pérez, Mariced Morayma; Vergaray Castillo, Daniela CarolinaCurrently, international trade is one of the economic activities more outstanding. It does not imply - as the author states - only transfers of goods or services; It also includes a series of elements, among which culture, technology and legal systems are included. For this reason, the international trade has direct effects, through cultural penetration or political interference, both in transnational corporations and in Recipient states and their populations. Sierralta, taking into account these new elements that are affected by economic activity, proposes a new theory: the evolutionary theory of international trade. This is raised not only as a theoretical approach, but also as the development of interdependence between the actors and the time factor in trade.Ítem Solo Metadatos La cultura en las organizaciones: un fenómeno central en el saber administrativo(Universidad ESAN. ESAN Ediciones, 2009-06-30) Podestá, PaolaThis article is the result of empirical and bibliographical research processes about organizational culture. It relates some relevant aspects that, from the traditional perspective under which this concept has been understood, may be contrasted with more critical ones, such as that proposed by the Canadian school to which some of the authors researched belong. Likewise, this article may be considered a complement to one previously published by the author, also mentioned in the text.Ítem Solo Metadatos Latinoamérica y la cultura en el siglo XXI(Universidad ESAN. ESAN Ediciones, 2002-06-30) Giesecke Sara Lafosse, MargaritaThis study deals with Latin American culture from the perspective of history and as an essential theme to understand the complexity of the problem of underdevelopment. It examines what is meant by culture, traces the history of the formation of Latin American culture and points out the role that this should correspond to overcome underdevelopment in the context of a globalized world. He argues that communication democracy and education are the alternatives for the forging of cultural identities capable of negotiating with globalization.
