Resumen

In recent years, France has experienced a significant increase in e-waste generation, driven by rapid technological advancement and the constant consumption of devices. Despite having a regulatory framework and formal collection and recycling systems, France still faces significant challenges, such as collection rates below European targets, informal disposal practices, and limited recovery of valuable materials. The main purpose of this research is to identify effective strategies for the sustainable management of e-waste in France, within the circular economy approach. To achieve this objective, three key aspects are analyzed: the current situation of the generation and treatment of e-waste in the country, the impact of different factors such as public policies, available technologies and consumer behavior, and finally, the definition of a set of actions that will reduce the generation of this waste and improve its treatment in a comprehensive manner.
